At Growing Seeds Counselling, I am dedicated to guiding you through your journey to emotional well-being. My psychodynamic therapy approach focuses on understanding your past to shape a fulfilling future and how the unconscious parts of our thinking affect us and the decisions we make.
I studied countryside management at university, I had an appreciation for the outdoors, particularly wild spaces. I faced my own struggles and I turned my attention to studying the mind, emotions, feelings and how they are linked to the body and to the environment around us. I studied at Human Development Scotland in Glasgow and achieved the post graduate diploma in Human Relations & Counselling. I now support other trainees in their learning on this course.
I have a particular interest in attachment, how our relationships with our primary caregivers can affect us and the relationships we form in adulthood. I also have a particular interest in how we relate to the Earth around us, we are living in the climate emergency and that can bring it's own anxiety and grief.
I offer an open and safe space to explore what might be troubling you, with no judgement. Deciding to come for counselling is a brave decision, I do not underestimate the courage it takes to ask for help.
I hope we can work together, please get in touch and we can have a free 15 minute call prior to a 50 min consultation.
